Step 1: Evaluate & Plan

We begin by inspecting the work area, identifying damage, rot, or areas needing reinforcement. We plan the project around your specific needs, materials, and design goals.

We carefully clean all surfaces

We remove dirt, debris, and any deteriorated materials from all work areas, ensuring a clean and stable surface for new carpentry.

Additionally, we allow adequate drying or settling time before moving forward to ensure long-lasting results.

Here's the guidelines we follow:

Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths or plastic to keep debris contained.

Remove damaged or rotted wood and sand surrounding areas for a smooth, even surface.

Fill holes, gaps, or imperfections with wood filler or epoxy and sand flush.

Re-secure loose components and replace any structural or trim elements that are beyond repair.

Step 2: Remove Damaged Materials & Prep Surfaces

Any deteriorated wood, trim, or structural components are removed or repaired. Surfaces are cleaned, sanded, and made ready for installation to ensure proper fit and finish.

Step 3: Install & Secure

We cut, install, and secure new woodwork with precision—whether it’s trim, framing, cabinetry, or custom features.

We always use durable, quality materials suited to the project.

First Coat Of Primer or Stain

Tape/protect areas not being painted (windows, casings, gutters, ground, etc.

Remove any obstructions (i.e. downspouts, grills, patio furniture, etc.)

If painting: Spray, Brush, & Spray & back roll (depending on plan) surface with recommended product

If staining: Apply two coats of stain (allow for 12-24-hour dry time to ensure durability)

Consistent Coats Of Paint

Inspect and perform any last-minute prep

Paint consistent coat in full sections to ensure uniform drying

If necessary, apply protective clear coat to natural wood stain for durability & water resistance

Step 4: Finish Work

We sand, seal, and finish the carpentry as needed. This may include painting, staining, or prepping for final finishes, depending on the scope.

Step 5: Wrap-up & Client Walkthrough

The final carpentry phase is an obvious but oft-overlooked phase which is the cleanup and resetting of the workspace.

We inspect the final work, ensure everything is secure and polished, and leave the space clean and ready to use—like we were never there, except now it looks better.

Finish Project

Remove all tape, plastic, paper, and drops from the area

Vacuum & sweep any leftover debris from

Perform any required touch-ups (there’s always something!)

Rehang & put back anything moved or taken down (downspouts, grill, tables. Etc.)
