Step 1: Evaluate & Prepare the Space

We begin by assessing your home’s layout, subfloor condition, and any special requirements. Furniture is moved or covered, and the area is cleared for installation.

Clean & Level the Subfloor

We thoroughly clean the subfloor and inspect for damage. Any uneven areas are leveled, and loose or squeaky boards are secured to create a solid foundation.

Additionally, we rinse off cleaning solution & allow adequate drying time (12+ hrs.)

Here's the guidelines we follow:

Protect adjacent surfaces and furniture with drop cloths and plastic sheeting.

Remove old flooring, adhesives, and debris.

Inspect subfloor for damage; repair holes, cracks, or rot as needed.

Level uneven areas and sand rough patches for a smooth, stable base.

Install or replace underlayment where required for added support and durability.

Step 2: Prepare Subfloor / Repair Damaged Areas

We protect adjacent walls, trim, and fixtures from dust and debris. If the floor type requires it, we install underlayment or vapor barriers to enhance insulation, soundproofing, and long-term durability before laying down the flooring material.

Step 3: Protect Peripheral Items & Prime Coat / Stain

The importance of selecting & properly applying the appropriate primer or stain cannot be overstated. The primer phase is done to ensure that the finish paint selected adheres consistently and completely to each surface material equally.

Tape/protect areas not being painted (windows, casings, gutters, ground, etc.

Remove any obstructions (i.e. downspouts, grills, patio furniture, etc.)

If painting: Spray, Brush, & Spray & back roll (depending on plan) surface with recommended product

If staining: Apply two coats of stain (allow for 12-24-hour dry time to ensure durability)

Consistent Coats Of Paint

Inspect and perform any last-minute prep

Paint consistent coat in full sections to ensure uniform drying

If necessary, apply protective clear coat to natural wood stain for durability & water resistance

Step 4: Finish Coat

Lastly after all prep and priming is complete, we apply a consistent finish coat to your home using only high-quality products and with either a spray or brush application depending on the surface and plan.

Step 5: Wrap-up & Client Walkthrough

The final phase, though often overlooked, is crucial: cleaning up and restoring the workspace. Our goal is to leave your home exactly as we found it—except for the beautiful, newly installed floor! We ensure all tools and materials are removed, the area is thoroughly cleaned, and everything is reset to its original condition, so you can enjoy your new floors without a trace of the installation process.

Finish Project

We install transitions, baseboards, and trims for a seamless finish, ensuring clean cuts around corners and doorways.

Afterward, we remove all debris, vacuum, and restore the area to its original condition.

Finally, we conduct a walkthrough with you to ensure every detail meets your expectations and make any necessary touch-ups.
